Characteristic:

 

LSAW steel pipe (Longitudinally Submerged Arc Welding abbreviated as LSAW) is a professional expression term for straight seam submerged arc welding steel pipe. It uses a single medium-thick plate as raw material, and presses (rolls) carbon steel plate into a tube blank in a mold or forming machine. Carbon steel pipe produced by double-sided submerged arc welding and expanded diameter.

LSAW steel pipe has a wide range of finished product specifications, and the weld seam has good toughness, plasticity, uniformity and compactness. LSAW welded carbon steel pipe has the advantages of large diameter, thick wall, high pressure resistance, low temperature resistance and strong corrosion resistance.


Application:

 

When building high-strength, high-quality long-distance oil and gas pipelines, most of the required steel pipes are large-diameter thick-walled LSAW welded carbon steel pipes.
According to API standards, in large-scale oil and gas transmission pipelines, LSAW welded carbon steel pipes are the only designated applicable pipe types when passing through Class 1 and Class 2 areas such as alpine regions, seabeds, and urban densely populated areas.
