Application:
301 stainless steel is a metastable austenitic stainless steel with a fully austenitic structure under sufficient dissolution conditions. Among stainless steels, 301-grade steel coils are the easiest steel to be strengthened by cold deformation. High strength can be obtained through cold working, and sufficient plasticity and toughness can be retained. Therefore, it is suitable for aircraft structural parts, railway vehicles, conveyor belt bolts and nuts, roof drainage products, etc.
Under atmospheric conditions and mildly corrosive environments, 301 austenitic stainless steel has good resistance and can withstand outdoor, industrial, marine and other environments. However, 301 stainless steel coils have poor corrosion resistance in acid, alkali and salt chemical media, so they are not recommended for use in harsh environments.
At a high temperature of 871 °C, 301 stainless coils will not produce obvious scaling, but carbides are easily precipitated during welding, which limits its use in certain application scenarios.
