Applications:
Hot rolled low carbon steel wire rod is an economical and efficient steel with the largest output in steel wire. Low carbon steel wire rod has the characteristics of high tensile strength and yield strength, good plasticity, small deformation resistance and low relaxation performance.
Low carbon steel wire rods are mainly used as blanks for wire drawing, and can also be directly used as construction materials and mechanical parts such as cement products, bridges, nuclear power plants, high-rise long-span buildings, and highways.
Commonly used on construction sites are 6, 8, 10, and 12 mm in diameter, and most of them are low carbon steel wire rods. Generally, they are not used for the main bars of reinforced concrete structures, but are mostly used for making steel bar sleeves.
